Luke Weston joins L'Oréal Luxe digital transformation journey

Luke Weston has taken on the role of Chief Digital Officer at L'Oréal Luxe.

He joins from hair care brand Function of Beauty where he served as Chief Revenue Officer. L'Oréal’s Luxe portfolio includes Lancôme, Kiehl's, YSL, Giorgio Armani, IT Cosmetics and Urban Decay.

“I’m sure current timings will make things a little bumpier than I'd originally anticipated, but I've long admired L'Oréal's commitment to leading best-in-class digital for beauty, and I'm humbled that they've let me help them on the next stage of their digital transformation. And it somehow seems apropos to start with everyone working remotely for the foreseeable future,” Weston said in a LInkedIn post.

“it's been inspiring meeting so many digital evangelists, and I'm very grateful for the new path I've ended up on. Oh, and anyone interested in joining me on the journey, please let me know - amazing talent is always needed, even (and perhaps especially?) during challenging times!” he added.

Weston signed off with a nod to the coronavirus outbreak. “We are all in the midst of a seemingly once in a decade challenge (ala 9/11 & GFC), but with every challenge comes opportunity,” he commented.

“Let's choose to remain positive, work hard, embrace the positives, respect the health care expert recommendations, and come out of this stronger - together.”
