Paritosh Desai departs Target for Google

Paritosh Desai has left Target, where he held the position of SVP, Chief Data and Analytics Officer.

“I feel very honoured to have contributed to the incredible and continuing transformation at Target. Thank you Target family (and  EDABI/Datascience teams) for making it such a rewarding journey. Wishing you all the best.”

He added: “As one chapter ends, another one begins. I have started at another amazing brand - Google. Excited to work on improving monetisation and relevance for ads featured on Discover and Gmail (with the latest in engineering and AI).”

It also involved retail analytics: inventory allocation, initial order quantities, pricing and promotion optimisation; web analytics: conversion-rate, path analysis, A/B testing, click-stream based behavioural analytics; and a web-scale personalisation platform based upon Hadoop, Mahout, R, and Java stack.
