Retail tech big hitters join Clekt as it eyes May debut

Data insights startup Clekt has announced a string of hires as it gears up for a May launch.

Andy Tudor is taking on the role of CEO,  Claudia Hesleden is COO, Ian Cray CTO (and Founder) and Alan Morris Chairman.

“Our new normal starts here and we are looking forward to helping businesses increase the value of their data by using it to determine a better future,” the company said in a LinkedIn post.

“The new website will be online in two weeks time and we hope you will visit us and learn why we do what we do, and the benefits we will deliver for your business. In the meantime please get in touch as we'd love to tell you more straightaway.”

Last year, Tudor joined retail tech vendor OneStock UK as Omnichannel Solutions & Partnerships Director. He was previously at Monsoon Accessorize where he held various tech-related roles, including Head of IT. His CV also includes stints at Debenhams, Aurora Fashions and Retail Assist.

Hesleden was previously Director at ÉCH Apparel, whilst Cray was MD at KETL, where he worked with Monsoon Accessorize, supporting its Informatica developments.

Morris, meanwhile, started his first technology business, Compass, in 1995 and then jointly founded Retail Assist in 1999. He led the company’s development over 18 years as CEO and then Chairman before exiting in 2017 following a private equity backed management buy-out.

He also recently took on the role of Non-Executive Director at IT consultancy Retail247
