Uncrowd on right road with key appointment
Retail analytics startup Uncrowd has appointed Chris Heap as Interim VP Retail and Customer Success.
“Getting Chris is a real coup, he’s held senior global roles with Microsoft, CapGemini Invent, PA Consulting and PwC,” Uncrowd boss Richard Hammond said in a LinkedIn post.
“He’s come onboard to help us to ensure that we deliver the very best possible client outcomes and that we do so to the highest enterprise standards. He’s insanely good at that sort of thing.”
“He’s a senior business strategist, digital transformation, commercial and change leader with over 22 years’ experience developing business and commercial innovation strategies for some of the largest and most influential brands in the world,” Hammond added.
”Bringing Chris to Uncrowd is part of the process of proving that we walk our talk, it’s a wonderful sign that we are on the right road.”
Phil Barden
Uncrowd recently completed a £500,000 seed funding round with the announcement of Phil Barden as an angel investor in its Friction/Reward Indexing platform.
This was opened on a rolling basis over two years ago and has now closed as it is fully subscribed.
Barden is the founding Managing Director at DECODE marketing. Alongside 16 years with Unilever, rising to Marketing VP, he has also completed spells at Diageo and T-Mobile.
Hammond commented: “Phil's investment is significant not least because outside of Uncrowd, he is probably the only other person on the planet right now who can claim to be expert in understanding the role of friction versus reward.”
“Phil’s book 'Decoded. The Science Behind Why We Buy' is a foundational text on practical behavioural science, every retailer should read it. We are honoured to have his unique expertise now available to us. Together we will continue to transform the next generation of customer analytics.”
