Marks and Spencer announces launch date for Ocado online venture
M&S has emailed its customers, informing them that on 1st September it will for the first time launch its full product range online.
It has partnered with Ocado on this, with more than 6,000 M&S products being made available.
“Our partners at Ocado (who are ending their long standing relationship with Waitrose) are busy getting ready for the launch. They’ve started to make our M&S products available for their customers to add to their baskets for delivery slots starting from 1st September,” the email states.
However, it goes on to warn customers that, throughout the coronavirus crisis, there has been a huge growth in demand for online food shopping. “This means the last few months have been particularly busy for Ocado, and while every effort is being made to increase capacity, the extra demand may mean you won’t be able to secure a delivery slot straight away.”
“As demand eases, more slots should start to become available, so more customers can start to enjoy the brilliant combination of M&S’ great quality and value food and Ocado’s market leading service,” it adds.
