Ocado Group tech powers Voilà by Sobeys Curbside Pickup
Empire is expanding its e-commerce offering to Atlantic Canada with the launch of Voilà by Sobeys Curbside Pickup.
This is available at three Sobeys store locations in Nova Scotia, with customers able to order online at voila.ca or by downloading a mobile app.
Powered by Ocado Group’s in-store fulfilment technology, Voilà by Sobeys staff members use handheld devices to assemble orders. Customers select a one-hour window for contactless pickup.

Empire plans to expand the offering to stores across Canada over the next few years as part of its Project Horizon strategy. The company has one Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) operational in Ontario, providing Voilà by Sobeys Home Delivery services, and is currently building a second one in Montreal.
Empire plans to build two additional CFCs across Canada to cover 75% of the population.
