Highsnobiety Managing Editor Brock Cardiner joins Hero

Virtual shopping app venture Hero has appointed Brock Cardiner as its first ever Content Director.

Cardiner joins from streetwear specialist Highsnobiety, where over the past eight years he built and led the global editorial team.

Elsewhere, launched this week under his direction, tells “original stories around the people, companies, and ideas shaping the new consumer experience”. It kicks off with articles involving Josh Luber, the co-founder of StockX, and Maria Raga, the CEO of Depop.

“Brock joins us at a critical moment in our journey; e-commerce is surging and our retail partners are looking for new ways to fundamentally upgrade their shopping experiences for consumers,” comments Adam Levene, Founder, Hero, which recently announced partnerships with Google and Shopify, following a $10 million Series A funding round in 2019.

“But more than just technology, brands are looking to companies like Hero for the inspiration, guidance and partnerships that help them unlock the future opportunities in commerce. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Brock to our team to lead this charge.”

Cardiner comments: “Hero is rapidly evolving from a SaaS platform into a major shopping service in partnership with some of the biggest brands in retail.”

“Adam and the leadership team have a natural understanding of the importance of crafting the stories and thought leadership that pushes the industry forward for both brands and consumers.”
