“GS1 UK standards enable the informed and protected consumer. Sustainability, traceability and accelerated digitisation continue to re-shape the retail landscape,” Rackley said in a LinkedIn post.
“And consumers are rightly demanding more and better from the retail sector on these – and other – key themes. It has never been more important to have open global standards to enable industry collaboration and transformation.”
“I believe that GS1 UK is uniquely positioned to support the retail sector through unprecedented change, and to find innovative ways to maximise opportunities to empower consumers,” she added.
