RTIH Innovation Awards: Global technology implementation of the year shortlist announced

Burger King Russia, Qvalon, Starbucks, Oracle, H20 Retailing and Imagr are among the nominees in the Global Technology implementation of the year category at the 2021 RTIH Innovation Awards.

This award recognises global retail technology project excellence, both in delivery and outcomes.

Implementation should have been completed between November 2020 and November 2021.

Judges will be looking for clear project objectives, effective and innovative implementation and tangible and demonstrable results.

Shortlist as follows:

Burger King Russia/Qvalon

Qvalon worked with Burger King Russia to put into a mobile application all the business processes that regulate and monitor the quality of cleaning and janitorial services, and deployed special digital checklists to ensure compliance to all Covid related hygiene and safety standards and protocols.

Gina Tricot/Sitoo

Implementation of the Sitoo PoS and unified commerce platform is being hailed as a true game changer by Gina Tricot.

H20 Retailing/Imagr

In January 2021, Imagr went live with H20 Retailing in Osaka, Japan what is believed to be the largest vision only, autonomous checkout deployment of its kind in the world.

The Oasis store in Nakanoshima, Osaka, is 9,000 square feet with the Imagr system ready to recognise more than 8,000 SKUs. H20 has committed to a full scale roll-out of the solution across 152 of its stores.

Prada/Intelligence Node

Prada has partnered with Intelligence Node to accelerate its e-commerce growth and offer its customers consistent, competitive price points and unified experiences across all retail touchpoints.

Starbucks/Oracle

Gerri Martin-Flikinger, Executive VP and CTO at Starbucks, has headed up a transformation and modernisation journey that enabled the company to quickly pivot at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Working with Oracle, Starbucks was able to quickly spin up services to meet new customer requirements, including mobile order and pay, voice order, nationwide delivery, curbside pickup, and new drive-thru and pick-up locations.

SUPERSPORTS/Mercaux
