PayTech venture Zip bags BigCommerce Elite Partner status
Australian buy now, pay later specialist Zip has been selected by e-commerce platform BigCommerce as an Elite Partner.
This will see it provide digital payment options to BigCommerce’s network of more than 60,000 merchants globally.
“With so many options in today’s retail environment, merchants need to be thoughtful about decreasing barriers to purchase for their customers, including providing easy to use alternative payment methods at checkout,” says Russell Klein, Chief Commercial Officer at BigCommerce.
“Zip is a trusted global leader in instalment-based payments, and we are excited to welcome them as Elite Partners. Our merchants and their customers will benefit from its transparent BNPL financing solutions.”
UK boost
Zip recently arrived in the UK, with Homebase, boohoo and The Fragrance Shop among the first retailers to join its platform.
It says that it will invest $15 million in the UK this year as it takes on the likes of Klarna and Afterpay in a crowded BNPL space. It is targeting 10 million British customers within three years.
