Majid Al Futtaim opens retail tech heavy Carrefour DXB airport store
Carrefour, owned and operated by Majid Al Futtaim in the UAE, has opened a new store at the DXB airport in Dubai.
Located in the arrivals area of DXB’s terminal 3, the 24-hour store opened its doors on Thursday.
Bernardo Perloiro, Chief Operating Officer of Carrefour at Majid Al Futtaim Retail, says: “As a brand famous for welcoming the people of the UAE at its stores for the last 25 years, we are thrilled to be greeting travellers as they arrive at DXB.”
“The new Carrefour store will offer a superior range of quality products to serve international jet-setters and residents waiting to welcome their loved ones home.”
The 436 square metre outlet offers over 3,000 items including snacks and hot beverages. There is a dedicated area for food to go.
Carrefour has equipped the location with such technology as self-checkout, electronic shelf labels, smart checkout, and mobile scan and go.
