Boots Ireland deploys first robotic pharmacy dispenser
Boots has gone live with its first dispensing robot in the retailer’s pharmacies in Ireland.
“On Friday, thanks to an amazing team effort, we went live. Awesome to see it in action,” Michelle Kearns, Head of IT at Boots Ireland, said in a LinkedIn post.
Kearns took on the role of Head of IT earlier this year. She had previously served as Chief Information Officer at Caredoc.
She is also the founder of One HealthTech Ireland, a network that supports and promotes women and other underrepresented groups in health innovation.
Paula Bobbett
Elsewhere, Paula Bobbett recently took on the role of Director, Boots.com at Boots UK.
She joined from Dixons Carphone, where she started as Senior Manager, E-commerce Insight in 2013, before becoming Head of Online Trade, Analytics and Insight in 2015 and finally Head of Online Performance in 2018.
Prior to that, Bobbett was Strategy & Analytics Manager at Avon.
“After seven years at Dixons Carphone, I am off to pastures new. I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful experience I have had and to the many amazing people I have worked with, who I will miss immensely,” she said in a LinkedIn post.
“I can’t wait to get onboard with Boots.com, start meeting the team and learning about this amazing business.”
