Carrefour announces Fortnite and Pickup partnerships

Carrefour has launched a Healthy Map on Fortnite, enabling players to heal themselves and gain more energy by eating fruit, vegetables and fish.

This places them in an eco-friendly Carrefour store of the future: a supermarket with an electric recharging station, trucks running on biomethane, a responsible fishing zone, fields of organic fruit and fresh vegetables, and a farm respecting animal welfare.

Pickup partnership

Under its partnership with Pickup, a subsidiary of La Poste group, Carrefour recently announced that more than 400 automatic parcel lockers are to be rolled out across France.

Customers will find these, starting in September, in three Carrefour store formats (hypermarkets, Market stores and convenience stores).

The lockers will be located at store entrances. Customers will be able to use them to pick up their Colissimo or Chronopost parcels, ordered from any of the 10,000 e-commerce sites which use the Pickup network.

It will also be possible to drop off parcels that they want sent between two drop-off/pick-up points (Shop2Shop by Chronopost), at store reception areas, and handle their e-commerce returns.

The new service has been undergoing testing since March at the Saint Denis hypermarket.

“We are delighted with this announcement – it's evidence of just how well the services provided by Carrefour and Pickup can work together, benefiting consumers,” says Jean-Baptiste Prévoteau, Head of In-Store services at Carrefour France.

“We want to get closer to our customers through our regional coverage, providing them with services that make their everyday lives easier.”
