Cath O'Neill departs Odeon Cinemas Group for Exertis
Cath O'Neill has left Odeon, where she held the position of Head of IT for two and a half years.
“Thank you so much for the beautiful gifts and touching messages. I’ll miss so many of you!” she said in a LinkedIn post.
“Onward and upward as the saying goes: on Monday I join Exertis. Really looking forward to learning about a new business, and meeting a new team and new colleagues.”
DCC Technology, trading as Exertis, is one of four divisions within DCC, a FTSE 100 company. It is a global distributor of consumer, business and enterprise products.
In its most recent financial year to 31st March 2021, Exertis had a turnover of £4.483 billion and grew by 11%.
O'Neill is taking on the role of Director of IT Service Operations.
Coronavirus outbreak
When UK cinemas reopened last year, as part of the government’s easing of coronavirus lockdown rules, Odeon returned to action with new self-service kiosks.
“So glad to be open again! Brand new kiosks running brand new software (this one setup by my own fair hand). Watching the Greatest Showman in Luxe luxury!” O’Neill commented at the time.
The new software, we should point out, is Vista Cinema.
