The Honest Company hires former Amazon Key exec as omnichannel head

The Honest Company, a wellness and beauty brand launched in 2012 by actress Jessica Alba, has appointed Pete Gerstberger as its Chief Digital and Strategy Officer.

Gerstberger will be tasked with overseeing the company’s omnichannel strategy and driving its digital business via the use of analytics.

He previously served as Head of Amazon's Key service, which allows for contactless deliveries inside customers' homes. Prior to that, he was VP and General Manager at Ring, a security and smart doorbell service that Amazon acquired in 2018.

“Pete’s extensive experience across the digital, tech and product development disciplines makes him an invaluable addition to the team as we continue to strengthen our omnichannel strategy,” says Nick Vlahos, The Honest Company CEO.

“We’re committed to expanding our reach as the modern CPG company and our digital strategy is an integral part of how we do that.”

“I am honoured to join The Honest Company leadership team,” says Gerstberger.

“As a father of three, I have relied on Honest products for my family for years, and I am excited to have the opportunity to directly contribute to Honest’s mission by driving innovation and growth across digital assets and channels.”
