Cécile Delforge departs Dune London for Wimbledon
Cécile Delforge has joined tennis organisation Wimbledon as Head of System Development & Integration.
She previously worked at Dune London, where she held the position of Technology and Digital Product Director.
Delforge took on the role of Head of Technology in 2015 before being appointed to the board as IT Director in 2017. Prior to joining The Dune Group, she spent six years with Tesco, where she delivered key strategic projects for the UK and international business.
“After just over six years at Dune London, it is time for me to say goodbye and open a new chapter,” she said in a LinkedIn post.
“I have met and worked with many amazing people during this time and really enjoyed my time here. We did a lot that we can all be very proud of.”
BNPL move
Last year, Dune London announced a partnership with buy now, pay later big hitter Klarna.
The retailer’s online customers can now use Klarna’s Pay later products (pay in 30 days and Instalments) in five European markets (Austria, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom).
Luke Griffiths, Vice President at Klarna, commented: “With over 85 million customers globally, we know that the addition of Dune London to our shop directory will be welcomed by millions of shoppers in Europe.”
Elaine Smith, Head of Digital Product at Dune London, said: “It is our aim to provide the best possible shopping experience across all of our customer facing channels and we feel that the addition of Klarna’s payment options will support this objective not just in the UK, but in our markets across Europe.”
“We want our customers to be able to shop and pay however, wherever and whenever they want.”
