Just Eat and Lincolnshire Co-Op agree rapid grocery delivery tie up
Just Eat and Lincolnshire Co-Op in the UK have partnered to offer on-demand grocery delivery.
A total of 27 stores across the society’s trading area now offer delivery from Just Eat, with a further 10 live on the platform taking orders for collection.
Locations where you can access the service include: Lincoln, Grantham, Boston, Scunthorpe, Worksop, Peterborough, Gainsborough, Brigg, Newark, Sleaford, Bourne and Horncastle.
Shoppers can choose from over 950 different food, drink and household essentials, and get them delivered straight to their door within minutes.
They can order via the Just Eat app, and their items are then picked and packed at their local store, before being delivered via the former’s network of delivery drivers.
The new partnership follows a collaboration with Central England Co-op which saw the retailer partner with Just Eat to offer delivery from stores across Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, the West Midlands and Yorkshire.
Just Eat UK Strategic Accounts Director, Amy Heather, says: “As we continue to expand rapidly in the retail space, on-demand grocery delivery will continue to be an area of significant focus.”
“Our exciting new partnership with Lincolnshire Co-op signals our commitment to continually offer convenience across all parts of the UK.”
“Being the number one food delivery app, our customers can access everything from delicious meals from their local takeaway or favourite restaurant brand, to stocking up on store cupboard essentials and fresh groceries from their local supermarket or convenience store - all delivered in a matter of minutes.”
Food Project Manager Gavin Willson says: “We’re always looking to provide more services to our customers to make their lives easier - teaming up with Just Eat helps us do just that.”
Just Eat’s grocery estate in the UK has expanded from 20 sites to over 1,800 sites on the platform since launching in January. This includes partnerships with Asda, Londis, Budgens, and One Stop.
Meanwhile, Just Eat Takeaway.com has over 25,000 grocery and convenience stores onboard globally, including tie ups with brands such as Spar, Albert Heijn (Ahold), Shell, 7-Eleven, Marqt, PLUS, Pascual Group, Galp, Kibus, Taste of America, Delicatessen Argentina, The Beer Store and Lieferando Express.
