2022 RTIH Innovation Awards: Technology Implementation of the Year shortlist announced
Walmart, Focal Systems, MANO, MoEngage, NOBULL, and Bluecore are among the nominees in the Technology Implementation of the Year (Rest of World) category at the 2022 RTIH Innovation Awards.
This award recognises rest of world retail technology project excellence, both in delivery and outcomes.
Implementation should have been completed between November 2021 and November 2022.
Judges will be looking for clear project objectives, effective and innovative implementation and tangible and demonstrable results.
2022 shortlist as follows:
Assa Abloy/Akeneo
Five years ago, Assa Abloy partnered with Akeneo, as it recognised it needed a product information management (PIM) solution to unify and centralise its product information on one digital platform.
However, in the past 12 months the adoption and use of Akeneo – changing from PIM to a product experience management (PXM) approach – has helped Assa Abloy improve speed to market, product information accuracy and operational efficiencies.
DoorDash/Social Mobile
Social Mobile worked with DoorDash to design and manufacture a custom tablet specifically for restaurants and merchants to manage orders for a DoorDash branded experience.
MANO/MoEngage
MANO is an e-commerce brand specialising in ultra-fast grocery delivery in Africa.
In a market relatively new to the concept of grocery delivery apps, MANO is making its mark through its customer centric approach and its focus on facilitating a frictionless experience.
Through personalisation, powered by MoEngage, it increased app activation rates by 51%, grew engagement by 27% and saw a two-fold increase in sales.
NOBULL/Bluecore
NOBULL enlisted Bluecore with the goal of customising customer communications based on any product component, such as style, material, or type of product, to turn its one time buyers into not just repeat customers, but also true brand loyalists.
Norrøna/Sitoo
In 2021 alone, Norrøna opened ten stores. It’s why it needed to find a PoS and unified commerce platform capable of scaling with the business, that would make life easier for store associates, and would be compliant across different markets. Enter Sitoo.
Walmart/Focal Systems
Focal Systems has developed a self-driving store.
Earlier this year, Walmart signed an agreement to deploy Focal systems to all 402 of its stores in Canada.
