Quick commerce big hitter Zapp will be there for you when Goblin Mode strikes

Following the announcement of the 2022 Oxford Word of the Year, rapid delivery firm Zapp has launched a Goblin Mode store, where customers can find snacks and drinks to suit those ‘Goblin Mode’ moments.

Since the Word of the Year was announced, Google searches for Goblin Mode are up 550%’ as people embrace the type of behaviour which is ‘unapologetically self-indulgent’, typically in a way that ‘rejects social norms or expectations’ and the pressure to project an unattainable version of ourselves.

For the first time ever the public were given the powers to choose the Oxford Word of the Year, with Goblin Mode winning the crown with over 93% of the votes.

Such behaviour can be anything from late night cravings to binge watching a whole TV series, from cancelling plans to have a cosy night in to eating a whole chocolate bar with no regrets.

Zapp’s new store is offering treats including Mini Babybel cheese snacks, Cheetos Twisted Flamin’ Hot Snacks, Little Moons Passionfruit & Mango, Lotus Biscoff Biscuit Spread, and Ben & Jerry’s Tony’s A Chocolate Love Affair, all of which can be delivered in minutes, 24/7.

Silje Renberg Kvaavik, Zapp Senior Catalogue Manager, comments: “As the only convenience app delivering in minutes for our customers round the clock, Zapp is there for whenever Goblin Mode strikes.”
