Kraft Heinz and TheNotCompany team on AI driven plant-based food
The Kraft Heinz Company and FoodTech startup TheNotCompany have announced a joint venture.
NotCo will bring its patented technology and artificial intelligence solutions to the table, while Kraft Heinz offers its brand portfolio and scale, to develop plant-based versions of co-branded products at “a level of speed, taste, quality, and scale yet to be seen in the industry”.

“It helps deliver on our vision for cleaner, greener, and more delicious products for consumers. We believe the technology that NotCo brings is revolutionising the creation of delicious plant-based foods with simpler ingredients, at tremendous speed.”

The focus will be across numerous Kraft Heinz product categories.
Lucho Lopez-May, who is currently CEO, North America, NotCo, will become CEO at The Kraft Heinz Not Company.
He was previously CEO at Garland Food, and prior to that, President of Strategic Growth Channels at Group Danone.
