MediaMarkt taps Bringly platform for sustainable same day online deliveries

Electronics retailer MediaMarkt is set to deliver its online orders in a CO2 neutral way and on the same day via the Bringly platform.

Orders will be processed and delivered by bicycle or electric cars from stores and various MediaMarkt hubs.

“Sustainability plays an important role in our strategy. The collaboration with Bringly helps us in the Benelux to realise this,” says Pieter Odijk, Supply Chain Director, MediaMarkt Benelux.

“Reducing CO2 emissions in last mile delivery is an important step and we are delighted to be able to offer our customers bicycle delivery. With this collaboration we can integrate our online and offline channels even better. We will make delivery more sustainable and reduce traffic in and around cities.”

Bringly and MediaMarkt have launched the delivery service in the Netherlands (49 stores). Belgium (24 stores) is expected to follow later this year.

“We are proud of this collaboration with MediaMarkt, in order to jointly optimise the delivery experience and make it more sustainable for customers in the Netherlands,” says Bringly Director Rajiv Laigsingh.

“MediaMarkt was looking for a reliable, sustainable and fast delivery partner.”

“With our sustainable delivery network in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, among others, we can deliver all their online orders in a responsible manner. With our scalable technology we respond seamlessly to the wishes and needs of MediaMarkt and its customers.”
