Sales veteran Rebecca Weizenecker to lead Wayflyer US growth plans
E-commerce startup, Wayflyer, has appointed Rebecca Weizenecker as Head of US Sales.
She joins from invoice payment FinTech, Now, where she was Vice President Sales and Marketing.
She also spent several years as Head of Direct Sales at Kabbage, the American Express owned data and technology company, providing small businesses with access to capital.
Further roles include senior sales and marketing positions at FundThrough and Sequr.
Wayflyer provides a range of financing and analytics solutions for e-commerce businesses that help them access working capital, improve cash flow and drive sales.
Weizenecker is tasked with growing the breadth and capabilities of the company’s sales function to reach more e-commerce businesses across the US.
The appointment follows a recent $150 million Series B raise at a valuation of $1.6 billion. Wayflyer’s US sales team is set to grow threefold this year, with 100+ new roles to be filled by the end of 2022.
