New Look teams up with commercetools for online refresh
commercetools has announced a partnership with fashion retailer, New Look.
In the first phase, New Look will be leveraging commercetools technology to focus on improving the transactional element of its online shopping experience, updating order capture, the checkout journey and cart functionality and pricing.
Prior to this tie up, making changes to the online shopping experience and adapting to changing consumer preferences was a challenge – adding new features to New Look’s commerce channels took weeks, if not, months.
With commercetools microservices, API first, cloud native and headless (MACH) architecture and composable approach, New Look now has the flexibility it needs to make changes fast. That means it can reduce technical debt as well as drive average and lifetime order value to grow sales.
There will be a phasing out of the existing system over the next 12 months, leading to the aforementioned technology providing the e-commerce platform for all transactions.
Ed Alford, Chief Technology Officer at New Look, comments: “I am delighted we have found a technology partner that ticks all the right boxes for us – experience transforming commerce for well known enterprise brands as well as the flexibility, scalability and modularity of their technology itself.”
“I am pleased to say we have already started working together to progress our vision to transform the way we serve and delight our customers – all 1.1 million of them each week.”
