Mark Hammond takes on Head of E-commerce role at Heal’s

Furniture retailer Heal’s has appointed Mark Hammond as Head of E-commerce.

He joins from Laura James Home where he served as Head of E-commerce & Marketing.

In a LinkedIn post, Hammond said: “I’m delighted (and not a little honoured) to announce that I’ve joined Heal’s as Head of E-commerce. It’s a brand that I’ve admired for many years and I cannot wait to get stuck in to supporting their continued growth.”

He added: “For a 210-year-old retailer, there’s a refreshing understanding that the future is digital, but also that stores play a key role in the overall customer experience.”

“I look forward to hopefully playing my own small part in ensuring Heal’s remains at the forefront of British retail for centuries more to come.”

Hullabalook

Heal’s is utilising Hullabalook’s Stickers online technology.

Earlier this year, the UK-based startup secured $8.2 million in a Series A funding round led by Nauta Capital and supported by existing investors Conviction VC and Passion Capital.

The cash will support the firm’s growth in the UK and new markets in North America and Europe.

Bryony Elliott, Co-founder, Hullabalook, said: “Our mission is to make retailer product catalogues easier to browse and purchase.”

“Online shopping journeys look the same as they did a decade ago and traditional navigation processes coupled with ever expanding product catalogues make product discovery very difficult for consumers.”
