Gophr and Kamsons Pharmacy agree delivery service tie up
Same-day delivery firm Gophr has announced a partnership with Kamsons Pharmacy, offering backup in-house fleet support for when the business needs cover.
Gophr will facilitate multi-drop operations from store to patient homes across the pharmacy’s 70 strong estate.
This follows a trial period centred around Kamsons’ Brighton store.
It was chosen for its experience in community relationships as well as pharmacy logistics developed via its work with online pharmacy Phlo and Qured, an at home rapid testing provider.
Graham Smith, Head of Strategic Accounts at Gophr, comments: “Delivery is an increasingly vital service that community pharmacies can offer. Vulnerable patients are often unable to visit the pharmacy in-person to pick up essential medication.”
“Moreover, a rise in the cost of fuel means many people are using their cars less to access their local high street which may be some distance away. Gophr is perfectly placed to offer Kamsons Pharmacy patients an unrivalled delivery service.”
“We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional doorstep experience and highly flexible delivery, thereby building vital relationships with our client’s patients.”
“This is so important when it comes to medical drop-offs where people are reliant on their local pharmacy. It is even more vital when offering cover service, ensuring that customers still get the best service possible.”
Paul Antenen, Operations Manager at Kamsons Pharmacy, says: “We are delighted to be working with Gophr, enabling us to deliver best in class service to our patients and communities across the UK.”
“Their tech driven approach coupled with proven experience in delivering safely in the highly specialist and complex pharmacy space means that Gophr is a natural partner for us.”
