Serve Robotics set to deploy 2,000 autonomous sidewalk delivery robots on Uber Eats platform

Serve Robotics has expanded its partnership with Uber Eats.

The company's commercial agreement allows for Serve to deploy its autonomous sidewalk delivery robots on Uber Eats in multiple markets across the United States, with up to two thousand robots set to be fielded.

Serve and Uber’s partnership began a year ago as a pilot in West Hollywood.

Since then, the former’s robotic deliveries have grown over 30% month over month, with 200+ restaurants in Los Angeles now participating.

"We are thrilled to be growing our partnership with Uber," sats Dr. Ali Kashani, Co-founder and CEO at Serve Robotics.

"This partnership is a major step towards mass commercialisation of robotics for autonomous delivery, and it is a testament to the success of our partnership. We are excited to continue our work with Uber to bring this innovative technology to more cities across the country."

Serve hasn’t said which markets will be next for its partnership with Uber, but the company is believed to be eyeing San Jose, Dallas and Vancouver.
