Delivery management platform Scurri announces expansion of its team in United Kingdom

Delivery management specialist, Scurri, whose retail and brand partners include Vision Direct, Biscuiteers and Natural Baby Shower, has announced two new appointments as it scales growth in the United Kingdom.

Following its launch in 2010, Scurri has grown to a business that processed over €10 billion worth of global shipments in 2022, with €15.3 million investment raised to date from private angel investors, institutional VC investors and the Irish government development fund, Enterprise Ireland.

The new hires underpin a continued focus on investment and expansion in the United Kingdom, where Scurri currently derives over 60% of its revenue working with 1,000+ carrier services to provide 97% carrier coverage across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

There has also been European growth with success in Germany and plans to expand further in the region with a push into the Nordics.

Philip Sambrook brings a wealth of experience in new business development and sales to his role as Senior Enterprise Sales Director at Scurri. He has worked at such companies as Yodel, Brightstar and Data Select.

Additionally, Matthew Hunt takes on the role of Demand Generation Manager.

With over 10 years of marketing experience across UK and Europe, he brings expertise in demand generation and end-to-end marketing strategies, having previously held senior marketing roles at Corinium Global Intelligence and Digital Marketing World Forum.

They line up alongside UK-based Adam Lissman, who joined Scurri as Sales Revenue Operations Manager in late 2022.

Lissman has nearly two decades of experience in managing multi-region technical, analytical and data teams and joined Scurri from Sungard Availability Services.

In addition to the UK team, working from its London office, Scurri has also recently moved into a new tech HQ in Wexford, Ireland.

Rory O’Connor, Founder and CEO, says: “We are delighted to announce the expansion of the Scurri team in the United Kingdom.”

“At a time when we see other providers actively cutting headcounts and reducing investment spend Scurri continues to commit to investing in both people and continuous product development.”

“These senior appointments further advance our mission to empower brands and retailers as they proactively take control of their fulfilment processes by leveraging innovative technology that improves the customer experience, boosts loyalty and delivers all-important revenue growth.”
