Laurence William Booth becomes frictionless commerce firm Trust Payments’ Group Chief Executive Officer
Trust Payments has appointed Laurence Booth as Trust Group Chief Executive Officer.
Booth, who has been interim CEO since September 2024, will continue as a member of the Trust Payments board.
He has been with the company since 2021, initially as Chief Data Officer and more recently as Chief Information Officer. His career spans over 20 years in payments and financial services, the majority of that time at American Express in card issuing, merchant acquiring and payment network roles.
Jakob Lindquist, Chair at Trust Payments, says: “The board of Trust Payments is unanimous in its conclusion that Laurence is the right leader for Trust and we are excited for the next chapter of growth in the Trust story. Laurence has deep and extensive knowledge of the PayTech sector and a proven track record of success.”
Sir Mike Rake, independent senior non-executive director, comments: “Laurence has demonstrated a consistent focus on shareholder value and has laid out a compelling roadmap for the future of the business. His sense of energy and values-driven approach is the right one for Trust going forward.”
Booth says: “I am honoured and humbled to be leading Trust Payments and thank the board for their confidence in this fantastic company. Our core Converged Commerce strategy, to serve UK and European businesses with accessible payment solutions complemented by cutting-edge retail capabilities, is not changing.”
