The Quality Group taps Fluent Order Management solution to support company’s international growth plans

The Quality Group, a specialist in sports nutrition, and supplements, has deployed a new distributed order management solution, Fluent Order Management.

Headquartered in Elmshorn, Germany. The Quality Group sells over 2,000 individual products in the health, weight loss and fitness sector through brands such as ESN and More Nutrition. Its digital direct-to-consumer and social commerce business models have seen rapid growth, attracting investment from CVC Partners in 2022 to support and accelerate international expansion.

Replacing various legacy systems, Fluent Order Management provides a real-time view of stock and accurate, flexible order fulfilment. The old systems weren’t scalable for the business,  causing overselling, canceled orders and a poor customer experience. The Quality Group needed a modern platform that was flexible and would scale efficiently and quickly.

The Quality Group is focused on growth within existing markets whilst simultaneously launching into new territories. Fluent Order Management supports these efforts by managing inventory across new sites, influencer platforms, social media, and marketplaces.

It sells high volumes of stock in short periods, during flash sales, where 300,000 units can sell out in just minutes. As a result, fast and accurate inventory availability is critical in peak periods to avoid overselling.

“Since going live, we’ve expanded into new sales channels, marketplaces, countries and added new brands. As well as adding feature functions progressively, achieving an average of 3.4 deployments per month. Something we simply couldn’t achieve before with previous systems. We’re now fulfilling orders from the most efficient location, serving the customer quicker and more profitably. It’s a win-win situation.” says Selim Tansuğ, COO at The Quality Group.

“As we looked for a composable platform to support our multi-brand and multi-country strategy, it was clear that we needed a distributed order management platform,” says Ben Brook, CTO, The Quality Group.

“We did extensive research and Fluent Order Management was the clear standout - it’s agile, flexible and scalable - so we can be agile in our approach and have confidence in our tech stack as we grow. Speed of deployment was crucial, and we went live in under two months. We’re very pleased with our partnership with Fluent Commerce and look forward to continued growth.”

Rob Shaw, GM, Fluent Commerce, says: “The Quality Groups partnership with Fluent Commerce proves that real-time inventory visibility and flexibility bolsters customer experience, which is crucial for growth.”

2024 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Inventory management was a key focus area at the sixth edition of the RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards, sponsored by Vista Technology Support, Scala, CADS, 3D Cloud, Brightpearl by Sage’s Lightning 50, Business France, and Retail Technology Show 2025, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”

He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”

“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”

Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended last month’s gathering.
