Location Sciences Group completes acquisition of delivery experience and management firm Sorted

Location Sciences Group has completed the acquisition of UK-based delivery experience and management platform, Sorted, with the new enlarged group trading on AIM as Sorted Group Holdings.

The news comes as Shard Credit Partners, a partner to Sorted, has committed to an equity investment of £1.6 million into the group.

First announced in summer 2023, the transaction, according to a press release, “provides the enlarged group with the investment necessary to continue implementing its business strategy and serving its corporate and enterprise retail customers, which include M&S, Boohoo and Asda.”

“It will enable Sorted to continue its mission to bring e-commerce retailers of all sizes confidence in every delivery, every time.”

Sorted has also welcomed onboard Simon Wilkinson as Chairman. Wilkinson has held senior leadership positions in a number of public and private companies throughout his career.

He is investing in the group, alongside Mahmud Kamani, the founder of Boohoo Group, and Richard Hughes, the founder of Zeus Capital.

Additionally, Petar Cvetkovic and Dr Nigel Burton will join the Sorted board as Non-Executive Directors.

Cvetkovic is Founder and Chairman of Welford Investments and was formerly the Chief Executive Officer ot DX (Group) and Target Express, and Dr Burton is currently a Non-Executive Director at BlackRock Throgmorton Investment Trust, DeepVerge, eEnergy Group, Mobile Streams and Microsaic Systems.  

Mahmoud Warriah, CFO, will join Carmen Carey, CEO, as Executive Director.
