Hannah McClellan Richards signs on as VP Operations, Product & Technology at Amazon Pharmacy

Hannah McClellan Richards has taken on the role of VP Operations, Product & Technology at Amazon Pharmacy.

She previously served as Technical Advisor and Chief of Staff to Worldwide Amazon Stores CEO.

In a LinkedIn post, she said: “A little over a year ago, I signed on as the Chief of Staff/Technical Advisor for Amazon Stores CEO, Doug Herrington.”

“In exchange for supporting Doug and his leadership team with core business mechanisms and major events, I got a front row seat to watch how they delivered exciting innovations in AI (have you met my friend, Rufus?), strong financial results, and the fastest delivery speeds in Amazon’s history.”

She added: “In one year, I got to visit more than 50 operations sites all over the US to see firsthand how our teams of frontline associates deliver smiles for customers every single day.”

“I also got to visit Amazon’s teams in Japan, India, and Dubai, where I learned about the incredible impact Amazon is having for global customers, and the unique and life-changing opportunities we create for our employees all over the world.”

“The best part of it all though, is how much it helped prepare me to take on my next big adventure at Amazon.”

“I’m super excited to announce that I’m joining Amazon Health Services, and more specifically, Amazon Pharmacy, as the VP of Operations, Product and Technology.”

Amazon Pharmacy, McClellan Richards states, is reinventing the drug store experience as we know it.

“We’re helping customers save time, money, and stress by making it fast, easy, and free to get your prescription medicine delivered right to your door. Thanks to John Love and Neil Lindsay for giving me the opportunity to be part of such an innovative and purpose-driven mission.”

“And thanks again to Doug for giving me a TA experience I'll never forget. If you haven’t tried Amazon Pharmacy yet, come check us out and transfer your existing prescriptions today. And next time your doctor asks, “Which pharmacy would you like me to send that to?”, now you’ve got a better answer.”

Doug Herrington

Doug Herrington, CEO Worldwide Amazon Stores, recently hit social media to talk about a recent visit to recently redesigned Amazon Fresh stores in the Los Angeles area.

In a LinkedIn post, he said: “The stores look fantastic. I recently got a chance to visit our teams there (and pick up some Whole30 approved snacks for myself in the beautiful produce section).”

“I enjoyed hearing how our customers love the new layout and merchandising of the stores, and the super convenient Dash Carts (smart carts with self-checkout built right in them).”

“It was also great to hear that every week tens of thousands of customers use the convenient Amazon pickup and returns counters located inside Amazon Fresh stores.”

He added: “It’s exciting to see the progress our teams are making, and I look forward to how we’ll continue to invent for our customers. Thank you Tony Hoggett (SVP Worldwide Grocery Stores) and Claire Peters (Vice President Worldwide Amazon) and the Woodland Hills and Pasadena store teams for a fantastic visit.
