2023 RTIH Innovation Awards winner and unified commerce firm NewStore hires Michael DeSimone as CEO
NewStore, a mobile first unified commerce platform for retailers, has announced the appointment of Michael DeSimone as CEO.
NewStore Founder Stephan Schambach will remain Chairman of the board.

DeSimone joins NewStore with more than two decades of experience leading high growth commerce technology companies. At ShopKeep, he guided the PoS provider through its acquisition by Lightspeed.
Before that, as the CEO at Borderfree, he led the e-commerce platform from startup to public entity and eventual acquisition.
His appointment as NewStore CEO caps off a year long succession plan involving the board of directors, investors, and leadership team to transition the company into its next growth stage.

2023 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS
NewStore emerged victorious at the 2023 RTIH Innovation Awards, picking up the Omnichannel Retail Initiative of the Year gong for its work with Footasylum.
Our winners were revealed at a fantastic awards ceremony, which took place at the Barbican Centre in central London.
The event was held on Wednesday, 29th November, maintaining its popular evening format, with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a Christmas themed three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
