RFID technology company PervasID takes wraps off TrackMaster 2X with major UK fashion retailer onboard

PervasID has launched TrackMaster 2X. Using the company’s passive (battery free) RFID reader technology, this automates inventory and asset tracking in near real-time.

Retailers can now accurately monitor and locate goods within their stores using existing tags, eliminating the need for labour intensive manual handheld scanning, PervasID claims.

The solution is being rolled out by an (unnamed) fashion retailer in the UK, said to be a major player.

Advantages for retailers include real-time inventory management insights that inform shopper behaviour analysis, drive efficient sales strategies, facilitate replenishment and reordering, and optimise omnichannel sales, notably BOPIS (Buy Online Pick-up In Store).

Moreover, the system mitigates shrinkage from both customer and employee theft across stores, warehouses, and transport, thanks to its inconspicuous monitoring solution.

TrackMaster is facilitated through SML, a supplier of RFID tags, via its Clarity enterprise software.

Leveraging AI, the latest version features a new antenna architecture that reduces equipment and installation costs, ensuring less than 12 months return on investment for retailers of all sizes.

Additionally, an enhanced AI powered data interface enables inventory data analytics.

"There are immense benefits for retailers in accurate and timely location tracking of goods within their stores, but until now, no solution has met the performance and affordability criteria to deliver this," says Dr Sabesan Sithamparanathan, Founder and President at PervasID.

"With TrackMaster 2X, retailers can now capitalise on highly accurate, near real-time tracking of all their goods, offering significant advantages in terms of waste reduction and saving staff time so they can focus on excellent customer experience instead."
