Henderson Technology announces EPoS deal with Channel Island-based retailer Alliance Supermarkets

Channel Island convenience store chain Alliance Supermarkets has partnered with Henderson Technology to roll-out the EDGEPoS EPoS system across its entire estate on Jersey and Guernsey.

This will give Alliance full control of its five stores from one central location, helping to simplify processes such as ordering and stock control.

Alliance is an independent and locally owned supermarket with five stores - four in Jersey and one store in Guernsey.

The stores stock a wide selection of well known local and international products including fresh produce, meat, chilled and frozen items to beers, wines and spirits and household products.

The chain says that it prides itself on quality and value and regularly introduces new products that include organic, plant-based and vegetarian options.

The addition of EDGEPoS to the store estate brings a number of technological and sustainability benefits to shoppers, including self-checkouts and the introduction of ESELs in Guernsey.

“We needed to upgrade our systems and when we were introduced to Henderson Technology, we knew we made the right decision,” says Ross Falla, Financial Director at Alliance.

“As well as the system being ideal for our needs, we have the comfort of knowing its origins are based in the convenience market, built by independent and company-owned retail outlets for use in their own network.”
