John Maguire departs Manolo Blahnik for Head of Operational Tech role at Premier League giants Arsenal FC
John Maguire has taken on the role of Head of Operational Technology at Arsenal FC.
He joins from luxury footwear and accessories brand Manolo Blahnik where he served as Head of Systems & IT.
In a LinkedIn post, he said: “After an amazing 3.5 years at Manolo Blahnik it's time to say goodbye.”
“I’m immensely proud of my time here, transforming the systems and IT landscape, building and leading a consistently high performing team to deliver time after time. Everything we said we'd achieve, we did.”
Spurs
Arsenal’s fiercest rivals are Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
Getir, the rapid grocery delivery company that was valued at $12 billion just two years ago, quit the UK recently, and said it was also leaving the US and western Europe.
The Turkey-based company had a three-year training kit sponsorship deal with Spurs, which expired at the end of the last Premier League season.
And according to a report by Sky News, it owed close to £5 million to the club.
This came as Getir tried to access a tranche of agreed funding from major investors Mubadala and G Squared to help facilitate its withdrawal from the UK, Germany and the Netherlands.
It remains unclear if it has the means to settle its debt to Spurs.
Getir and Tottenham Hotspur did not respond to our request for comment.
