Exotec appoints new Head of Projects and VP of Business Development for UK market expansion push
Warehouse robotics provider Exotec has announced the appointment of Ada Ajoku as Head of UK Projects, and Bassem Awada as VP of Business Development.
It says that these hires will help further drive the company’s growth in the UK, following the recent deployment of Exotec’s Skypod system with its latest UK customer, Alliance Automotive Group UK (AAG), in its newly established major Sheffield warehouse.
Ajoku join with over 15 years of experience in the automation industry, most notably at Dematic.
Throughout her nine-year tenure at Dematic, she progressed from Project Manager to Director of EMEA, where she led a team of 150 employees and was responsible for client modernisation and upgrade requirements.
In her new role at Exotec, whose customers include Carrefour, Decathlon, Gap, and Uniqlo, she will oversee the company’s entire UK project portfolio, partnering with stakeholders on the creation and execution of project plans.
She says: “I look forward to joining the talented projects team to achieve best-in-class deployment for customers across the UK, supporting the ongoing project with AAG UK and driving Exotec in its journey to becoming a world leader in robotics automation.”
Awada joins Exotec from Amazon, where he pursued an eight-year long career in operations, retail, and the cloud technology business, culminating as Head of the AWS EMEA Marketing Response Centre.
His new role will be to identify strategic partnerships and new opportunities for growth, as part of Exotec’s efforts to expand its customer base in the UK.
