Parcel delivery company HIVED moves beyond London with expansion into eight cities and towns

HIVED is expanding its service beyond Greater London for the first time, to bring parcel delivery to customers in eight cities and towns across the UK.

It will now deliver parcels through its fully electric fleet in Bath, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Poole, Portsmouth, Southampton, and Worthing.

HIVED has grown across London in recent years, delivering millions of parcels for retail partners like Nespresso, Liberty of London, Gousto, and John Lewis, while maintaining a 99+% on-time attempted rate.

Since the start of September, it has been operational across these new cities, delivering parcels for existing customers.

Murvah Iqbal, CEO and Co-founder at HIVED, says: “We were founded because we believe people deserve a better parcel delivery experience. We provide a service to millions of end consumers that is modern, reliable, and more transparent than what has come before. Our retail partners are constantly asking us when we will be expanding, and we are delighted to be meeting that demand.”

“We have big ambitions for nationwide coverage, and this step outside of London will mean people across these new cities will enjoy the same high delivery standards that have driven our growth in the capital. This is the first of many geographic expansion milestones, all of which will provide more consumers and ecommerce brands with the exceptional levels of service that are now associated with HIVED.”

HIVED recently completed a $42 million Series B funding round to drive growth outside of London.

2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Online delivery was a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.

VoCoVo, Everseen, Sensei, Gander, Iceland, Olio, Trust Retail, East of England Co-op, Lekkerland SE, Poq, Mamas & Papas, Varner, Sitoo, and Zebra Technologies were among our winners this year.

We received a record number of entries and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.

For a full rundown of all of the shortlisted entries, click here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC in Central London on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
