Fabio Luzzi takes on Chief Data and Analytics Officer position at American fashion company Tapestry

Fabio Luzzi has been appointed Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Tapestry, the parent company of Coach and Kate Spade.

He has been with Tapestry for almost seven and a half years and previously served as Global Head of Data & Analytics Technology.

In a LinkedIn post, he said: “This marks an important milestone in Tapestry’s journey to make data and AI a true competitive advantage. Over the past few years, we’ve built a world class data foundation - culminating in our patented Data Fabric, which powers everything from advanced analytics to AI and GenAI across our brands.”

He added: “We design, build, and sell beautiful products. That will never change. What’s changing is how data and AI are helping us do it - amplifying creativity with greater insight, and speed.”

“I’m deeply grateful to the incredible team who made this possible - engineers, data scientists, and business partners who’ve pushed boundaries and proven that innovation and artistry can thrive together inside an established global company. The journey continues, and we’re just getting started.”

As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.

With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.

Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.

Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Thursday, 29th January. This will kick off with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
