Retail technology innovation of the week: award winning RETaiL AI announces launch of RaiD10 platform
Retail Technology Innovation of the Week is a series brought to you by RTIH, and sponsored by 3D Cloud, highlighting stand out deployments, launches, and initiatives by retailers and tech suppliers.
Every week, we will showcase forward thinking tech plays that have impressed our Editor and the Retail Technology Innovations Report judging panel, alongside the publication of the 2025 report.
And this week we’re focusing on RETaiL AI, which over the last four weeks has been busy launching its RaiD10 platform within 15 key retailer development partners across the UK.
The evolved solution is a consolidation of the company’s product offering that enables retailers to instantly deploy and adapt smart audio networks in their stores to influence and analyse consumer behaviour, deter theft and ensure adherence by customers and staff.
Key benefits include an AI engine that:
Drives promotional and brand awareness and Influences customers with hyper-targeted promotions at Point of Sale.
Provides unparalleled promotions, compliance and adherence analytics. Details real-time demographics analytics and customer flow heatmapping.
Delivers audible in-store “suspicious behaviour” alerts with near instant video evidence.
Auto completes police reports and upload evidence packs to police with multi-angle CCTV evidence including videos of theft, discarded stock, walkouts and offender exit.
Allocates adherence tasks to shifts and/or specific staff members or managers.
Tracks number of customers currently in stores/estates and triggers promotional audio when busy, or staff adherence and task alerts when quiet.
RaiD10 also allows retailers to add, remove and scale any module on-demand while enjoying best in class technical and management support at the touch of a button.
“Over the last 12 months RETaiL AI has developed its AI driven solutions across some of the most prominent independent and group retailers in the UK. The RaiD10 platform is the culmination of what has worked best and, combined with our delivery capacity, brings a level of customer engagement and management control to store and group level that’s simply never been seen in retail before,” says CEO Mark Steven.
And the firm’s customers seem to agree…
“This is the best investment I’ve made since I bought the shop,” says Raheem Ali Razaq of Nisa Royston.
“RETaiL RaiD10 is a gamechanger, the security centre is extraordinary and the technical support is outstanding. Above all, my own branded radio transforms the customer experience to a whole new level,” says George Philips, TJS Late store - Londis Hemel Hempstead.
“The functionality of the RETaiL AI RaiD10 platform combined with our infrastructure building over the last 12 months allows our AI product to scale exponentially and, as we turn our attention toward the wider retail industry, I cannot thank our retailer development partners enough. They will not be forgotten as we enter the next phase of our development,” comments AI Principle John Prendergast.
2025 RTIH Innovation Awards
In addition to the RaiD10 Data-Cube launch, Prendergast and London RSM Patrick Heelan found the time to attend the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony at The HAC in London on Thursday, 16th October where the company picked up the Bricks and Mortar Innovation award for its anti-theft deterrent against some serious competition, including Oh Polly, Iceland, East of England Co-op, Currys and Lekkerland SE.
This award recognises retailers and companies enabling physical spaces to thrive via innovative technology, even as online shopping continues to grow. Our judging panel were looking for examples of reducing friction in the customer journey, offering improved experiences, and blurring the lines between channels.
Scott Thompson, Editor and Founder of RTIH, says: “Congratulations to RETaiL AI for their win in the physical retail category. This year’s submissions were without doubt our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
“So being named as a finalist was no mean feat. But to then emerge victorious in a category featuring a number of big hitters shows that RETaiL AI is one to watch.”

As we witness a digital transformation revolution across all channels, AI tools are reshaping the omnichannel game, from personalising customer experiences to optimising inventory, uncovering insights into consumer behaviour, and enhancing the human element of retailers' businesses.
With 2025 set to be the year when AI and especially gen AI shake off the ‘heavily hyped’ tag and become embedded in retail business processes, our newly launched awards celebrate global technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world and the resulting benefits for retailers, shoppers and employees.
Our 2025 winners will be those companies who not only recognise the potential of AI, but also make it usable in everyday work - resulting in more efficiency and innovation in all areas.
Winners will be announced at an evening event at The Barbican in Central London on Thursday, 29th January. This will kick off with a drinks reception in the stunning Conservatory, followed by a three course meal, and awards ceremony in the Garden Room.
