Abercrombie & Fitch Co. expands Nedap iD Cloud Store technology partnership following 15 store pilot

Nedap’s iD Cloud platform is being implemented across numerous Abercrombie & Fitch stores in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and the Asia-Pacific region (APAC).

Following a 15-store pilot, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (A&F Co.) began deploying the iD Cloud Store solution in June, with full implementation scheduled to be completed later this month. The roll-out is part of a move to improve omnichannel fulfillment, inventory accuracy and on-shelf product availability.

“Inventory visibility is crucial to serving our customers seamlessly, both digitally and in-store,” says Lauren Morr, Senior Vice President of Digital Operations at Abercrombie & Fitch Co.

“We chose Nedap not only for their innovative and advanced technology, but also because of the dedicated expertise within their iD Cloud community. The partnership enables us to optimise our operations with increased inventory accuracy and visibility.”

The deployment of iD Cloud Store aims to streamline essential store processes, including in-store order fulfillment and inventory replenishment from the back of house to the front of house.

“Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s transformation through the years has been remarkable, and their renewed strength as a business is a testament to bold decisions and clear strategy,” says Bruno Bakker, Director of iD Cloud North America at Nedap.

“With iD Cloud, they are now taking the next leap forward, elevating their already strong omnichannel capabilities to an entirely new level. Together, we are building a future-proof retail foundation where real-time inventory visibility fuels efficiency, customer satisfaction, and growth worldwide.”

2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Omnichannel retail was a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.

VoCoVo, Everseen, Sensei, Gander, Iceland, Olio, Trust Retail, East of England Co-op, Lekkerland SE, Poq, Mamas & Papas, Varner, Sitoo, and Zebra Technologies were among our winners this year.

We received a record number of entries and many fantastic examples of the continued resilience and dynamism of the retail space during hugely challenging times.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC in Central London on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
