Here's to the next chapter: retail veteran Karrie Helm departs EVEREVE for new role at Aritzia

Karrie Helm has joined Aritzia as Director, Retail.

She was previously at EVEREVE, where she worked for 14 and a half years, most recently serving as Senior Director of Stores.

On departing EVEREVE, she said: "This is the end of the longest era of my life. Fourteen and a half years. That’s a lot of team meetings. A lot of fashion trends (some better than others). A lot of hair colours, hemlines, and heartfelt conversations."

"As I wrap up my time at EVEREVE, I’ve been reflecting on just how much this chapter has shaped me. I walked through the doors over a decade ago a dance teacher who needed a full-time job, and I’m leaving with incredible skills, lifelong friendships, big dreams, and a heart full of gratitude."

Helm added: "I’ve grown as a leader, as a mentor, and as a human. I’ve watched others rise into their greatness and cheered them on every step of the way. I’ve sat in fitting rooms, leadership meetings, and moments of change - and every one of them has taught me something. To the incredible people I’ve worked alongside: you’ve inspired me, challenged me, made me laugh until I cried (and cry until I laughed again). I will never stop rooting for you."

"And to the many versions of me captured in our company photos over the years… thank you for embracing bangs, no bangs, centre parts, side parts, skinny jeans, wide leg pants, and everything in between. Here’s to the next chapter, and to always leading with heart."

2025 RTIH INNOVATION AWARDS

Fashion retail will be a key focus area at the 2025 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards, which are now open for entries, celebrate global tech innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our 2024 hall of fame entrants were revealed during an event which took place at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place HQ in Central London on 21st November, and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by comedian Lucy Porter.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “The event is now into its sixth year and what a journey it has been. The awards started life as an online only affair during the Covid outbreak, before launching as a small scale in real life event and growing year on year to the point where we’re now selling out this fine, historic venue.”

He added: “Congratulations to all of our finalists. Many submissions did not make it through to the final stage, and getting to this point is no mean feat. Checkout-free stores, automated supply chains, immersive experiences, on-demand delivery, next generation loyalty offerings, inclusive retail, green technology. We’ve got all the cool stuff covered this evening.”

“But just importantly we’ve got lots of great examples of companies taking innovative tech and making it usable in everyday operations - resulting in more efficiency and profitability in all areas.”

Congratulations to our 2024 winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Lucy Porter, and all those who attended November's gathering.
