Focus on AI as product experience specialist Akeneo announces three senior executive appointments

Akeneo has announced three leadership appointments across customer success, marketing and its global centre of excellence. Jean Lethuillier has joined as Vice President of Customer Success. She lines up alongside Carole Offredo, Chief Marketing Officer and Edouard Dewulf, Senior Director, Global Centre of Excellence.

"Commerce is entering a new phase, and we are investing now in the people, technology and expertise for Akeneo to lead that change," says Romain Fouache, CEO at Akeneo. "Our customers are preparing for a world where AI engines and agents play a much greater role in how products are discovered and purchased. Strengthening our global leadership is about helping them make that transition successfully as we massively accelerate Akeneo's pace for what comes next."

Lethuillier was most recently SVP of Customer Success at Zoovu. She previously held customer and partner success leadership roles at Sherpa, Cybereason, XING/kununu and Fuze, after starting her career in consulting at PwC China.

She comments: “As AI transforms how products get discovered and purchased, our customer success team has a real opportunity: to turn product data into measurable outcomes for our customers, not just as a post-sale function, but as something that actively drives their growth.”

Offredo previously spent a decade at Dataiku, where she helped build and scale the marketing organisation as the company grew into a global enterprise AI company. At Akeneo, she will lead marketing as the company brings its agentic Product Cloud to enterprise customers.

DeWulf joins following seven years at Accenture Song leading digital, commerce and product experience management transformations for major organisations. He brings more than 15 years in digital services, including years working with Akeneo from the partner side.

“Product data is becoming a foundational infrastructure component for the enterprise, particularly as AI changes how products are discovered, managed and brought to market,” says Dewulf. “Our centre of excellence and front line engineers are about making enterprises ready for that shift, bringing deep technical and transformation expertise closer to customers so they can build the product data foundations they need for what comes next.”

So hot right now

Akeneo is included in RTIH’s first ever Retail Technology Hot 100 List. Launching in August, this sees us bringing you the hottest companies whose solutions and systems are helping drive the retail sector forward.

Our Founder and Editor, Scott Thompson, drew up a list of 150 companies that had consistently been on his radar over the past 12 months whilst bringing our community the latest retail tech news and views that matter. These companies operate across the omnichannel retail landscape (stores, online, mobile, supply chain, payments etc).

Our judging panel, including Vineta Bajaj, Group CFO, Holland & Barrett, Dan McGrath, JD Group Customer Operations, JD Sports, Dr. Astha Purohit, Director of Product Management, Customer Data and Identity, Walmart, and Paula Bobbett, Chief Data and Digital Officer, Boots, provided feedback on those who have the most innovative, forward thinking technology offerings and are also best addressing retailers' current challenges, painpoints, and opportunities.

The judges used the following framework when making their picks:

1. Retailer problem fit - how meaningful, strategic, and widely felt the retailer pain being addressed is.
2. Production traction in retail (2025–2026) - real named retailer deployments, pilots.
3. Innovation and defensibility - genuine technical novelty paired with a defensible competitive position.

And there was also a public vote, with thousands of members of our community of retail tech enthusiasts getting involved. Thanks to all those who took part! Based on the judging panel's feedback and the public vote, we then drew up our first ever RTIH Retail Technology Hot 100.

So, without further ado, here are the 100 hottest global retail technology ventures right now. Drum roll, please…

You can download the hot 100 in pdf format here. Enjoy!
