Hamburg-based startup Procuros raises €20 million Series A for autonomous b2b trade push

Hamburg-based software company Procuros has announced the closing of a €20 million Series A funding round led by XAnge, with W23 Global joining as a new investor. This takes total funding to date to €34 million.

Existing backers Point Nine, Creandum, SquareOne and b2venture are joining again, alongside several angel investors. Procuros will use the cash to accelerate its AI native supply chain connectivity platform and expand its trading network internationally.

Over 300 companies are using Procuros, including Breuninger, Chefs Culinar, KoRo, flaconi, The Quality Group (ESN) and Hitschler, with more than €3 billion in annualised order volume said to be flowing through the platform.

“AI is advancing at incredible speed, while supply chains still run on infrastructure built decades ago. Operations teams are forced to bridge these gaps between systems that simply don’t communicate. We built Procuros to change that. Our infrastructure gives retailers, suppliers and AI agents the connectivity and trusted data they need to automate trade and make autonomous supply chains possible. Because ultimately, AI agents are only as good as the infrastructure they run on,” says Patrick Thelen, CEO and Co-Founder at Procuros (pictured below).

"Procuros is showing that AI agents can make autonomous B2B trade a reality today. The team has built the infrastructure AI agents need to work across entire tradingnetworks and proven the model at scale in DACH. What excites us is the opportunity ahead: to take this beyond its home market and establish an entirely new category for global B2B trade,” says Valerie Bures-Bönström, Partner and Managing Director DACH at XAnge.

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

AI will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards, which celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world, have now closed for entries. Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
