German fashion retailer L&T bags reta awards 2026 gong for work with Vusion and GK Software
Vusion and its partner GK AIR have been selected by Lengermann & Trieschmann (L&T), a fashion and sports retailer in Germany, to digitise its store operations. The project emerged victorious this week at the reta awards 2026 in the category Smart Store during EuroShop 2026.
Starting with its 2025 autumn/winter collection, L&T launched the roll-out of Vusion ESway smart hangtags, fully integrated with GK AIR’s AI powered price optimisation platform.
The hangtags, powered by wireless technology, enable it to localise items in the store, improve stock visibility, and identify stock transfers. The solution captures data on how often products are moved around, brought to the fitting room, and which other products they have been combined with. Merged with sales data, L&T can access detailed insights into customer behaviour and in-store engagement.
In addition to automated stock visibility, the gtags enable real-time price updates at item level. As a result, L&T store employees no longer need to manually tag items during collection launches or markdown cycles. Seasonal discount campaigns can be managed centrally and instantly synchronised with the online store.
The technology connects with L&T’s ERP system, Vusion’s cloud platform, and GK AIR’s pricing engine. It lets the retailer control pricing efficiently, based on live sales data, inventory levels, and market trends. GK AIR’s solution forecasts demand and suggests adjusted pricing and promotions in real-time.
“The interaction between smart labels and powerful AI for price management has given us a strategic advantage. The data and resulting optimisation deliver immediate value, making this investment a genuine success story for L&T,” says Vivien Moor, Project Manager Corporate Development, L&T.
“Our technology translates L&T’s strategy into precise, data driven pricing for every product, delivering a level of responsiveness and precision that is truly game-changing,” says Sandy Preuß, Head of Sales & Strategic Solutions and Vice President at GK AIR.
“We are very excited about this partnership with L&T and GK. Thanks to GK AIR AI powered technology, we are better answering the needs of fashion retail, a new vertical for us in the region, thereby contributing to our Vusion ’27 strategy,” says Guillaume Portier, EVP Global Partner, Vusion.
2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
AI will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards will open for entries in April. They celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Thursday, 15th October.
Check out our 2025 winners here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
