Rhian Nicholls takes on Group Head of Technology role at plus size fashion retailer Yours Clothing

Rhian Nicholls has been appointed by UK plus size fashion retailer Yours Clothing as its new Group Head of Technology. She joins from Blakely Clothing where she served as Head of E-commerce & Technology. Her CV also includes a stint at Greene King (E-commerce Manager).

In a LinkedIn post, dated 20th July, she said: “Today marks my last day at Blakely Clothing. I am thrilled to announce I am joining Yours Clothing as Group Head of Technology, working across all of the group's brands. Yours Clothing, BadRhino, Evans Clothing, Long Tall Sally, M&Co, Pixie Girl and Star by Julian Macdonald.”

“It's a fantastic opportunity to work with an incredibly talented team, optimise and evolve the tech stack, and help build the technology that supports the next phase of growth.
I can't wait to get started, meet more of the team, and get stuck into the challenges ahead. Here's to an exciting new chapter!”

Shopify

Yours Clothing recently announced the launch of Shopify's Shop Pay, while continuing to run on its existing commerce platform on a non-Shopify storefront. The integration was delivered by Remarkable Commerce.

Antony Talbot, Trading Director at Yours Clothing, said: "We're always looking for ways to make shopping faster and more convenient for our customers. Bringing Shop Pay to our website is another step in delivering the seamless experience our customers expect."

"By working with Shopify and Remarkable Commerce, we've introduced one of the world's leading accelerated checkout solutions while continuing to build on the flexibility of our existing platform. To celebrate the launch, customers who check out using Shop Pay will receive 200 points towards Yours Clothing Rewards Club when signing up, making it even more rewarding to shop with us. We're excited to see the positive impact this will have on our customers and our business.”

Mark West, CEO at Remarkable Commerce, said: "This launch is exactly what modern commerce architecture should make possible. Retailers should never have to choose between the platform that fits their business and the best customer-facing innovation in the market. Our platform is built to be open and composable, so when Shopify made Shop Pay available with a flexible and easy to use API available, we saw an immediate opportunity for our clients. Delivering this integration with Yours Clothing, a brand we have partnered with for over 15 years, is a proud moment for our team and a signal of how we will keep bringing leading capabilities to ambitious retailers, fast."

Deann Evans, Managing Director EMEA at Shopify, added: "Shop Pay exists to remove friction from buying, wherever customers choose to shop. We can’t wait to see the impact this has on conversion and customer experience for the Yours Clothing team and buyers alike."

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

Payments will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
