British health and beauty retailer Bodycare taps retail247 Origin and Archean technology solutions
We recently reported that Bodycare had connected with PMC to design, orchestrate and deliver the digital infrastructure that will power its new store network as the health and beauty retailer prepares for its return to the UK high street.
It is also rolling out Retail247’s Origin and Archean solutions as part of its comeback story.
Last year, Bodycare closed all its stores after collapsing into adminstration. Its brand and intellectual property were acquired out of administration in late 2025 by an investor group led by former The Body Shop and Molton Brown CEO Charles Denton, and it is now aiming to open 25 UK stores in 2026, growing to 200 locations over the next five years.
In a LinkedIn post, Retail247 said: “After a successful first half of the year at Retail247, we're delighted to announce another new client partnership - Bodycare. Even better, they're already live with Origin and Archean following our fastest implementation project to date.”
It added: “Under the leadership of Charles Denton, Bodycare's experienced leadership team, including David Stern, Alison Costello, Ryan Newey and Tash Courtnay-Smith, is driving the next phase of the retailer's transformation, accelerating its UK expansion and building the future of value health and beauty retail. The business is entering an exciting new chapter focused on revitalising the brand, modernising operations, and building a scalable platform for future growth.”
“To support this journey, Bodycare has selected Retail247's Origin and Archean platforms to establish robust retail foundations, give teams the visibility and control they need to make faster decisions, improve stock availability, and support continued expansion. This will enable greater operational visibility, improved decision-making, and the agility needed to support an ambitious growth strategy. We're particularly proud as this is our fastest implementation to date and is a testament to the strength of our solutions, our team, and the collaborative approach already being demonstrated by everyone involved. We look forward to working closely with the Bodycare team and supporting them as they write the next chapter of their story.”
2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
Physical stores will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.
Check out our 2025 winners here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
