AI powered loss prevention specialist Edgify secures $9 million in funding for growth beyond retail
Edgify, a London-based company providing AI powered technology that protects against in-store loss, has raised $9 million in Series A+ funding to accelerate the roll-out of its platform. The round was backed by Rank Ventures and Mangrove Capital Partners, bringing the firm’s total funding to date to $25 million.
Nadav Israel, CEO and Co-founder at Edgify, says: “We founded Edgify on a simple conviction: intelligence should live where data is created, and devices should learn as one. A store is a fleet of machines that can see, decide and learn together, without a single byte leaving the building. Retail is just the beginning. The operational friction we have solved in grocery and convenience stores can be replicated in any industry where fleets of devices meet the physical world, as demonstrated by our expansion into QSR, distribution centres, and apparel.”
“This funding will fuel our growth, enabling us to take the intelligence layer we’ve built for retail and deploy it across the global industrial landscape, turning millions of isolated machines into self-learning real-time networks that operate independently of the cloud.”
Edgify provides a single, hardware agnostic platform that runs across existing in-store equipment from various manufacturers, including partners such as Zebra Technologies and Bizerba.
Mitchell Goldman, COO at Edgify, comments: “Retail is the ultimate testing ground for edge AI, because it has more smart devices per site than almost any other industry, and real-world constraints on cost, latency and privacy. Loss prevention is where the value shows up first, and it is why the world’s leading grocers are working with us today. But the real breakthrough is the underlying platform: translating isolated in-store hardware into a unified system for future AI applications. This funding lets us scale both the use cases and the Edgify platform itself.”
2026 RTIH Innovation Awards
Loss prevention will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.
The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.
Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.
Check out our 2025 winners here.
Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.
In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”
“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”
He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”
Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
