Former Starbucks Chief Technology Officer Gerri Martin-Flickinger added to Victoria's Secret board

In a LinkedIn post, she said: "I've spent much of my career helping organisations navigate change, embrace innovation, and leverage technology to create stronger customer experiences and business outcomes. I'm looking forward to bringing that perspective to the VS&Co board as the company advances its Path to Potential strategy and continues shaping its next chapter."

"VS&Co is at an important point in its journey, and I look forward to working alongside the board and leadership team to help create long-term value."

Andrew Corner

Starbucks has appointed Andrew Corner as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain. He joins from Nike where he spent almost ten years, most recently serving as VP of Global Supply Chain & Planning Operations.

He said: “Ten years. That's how long I've called Nike home, and it's hard to put into words what that decade has meant to me. I joined as someone who loved sport. I'm leaving as someone who got to help move it. Nike gave me room to grow and work that mattered, but what I'll really carry with me are the people. The teams who showed up for each other on the hardest days, the mentors who took a chance on me before I'd earned it, and the friendships that will long outlast any chapter. To my Nike family: thank you! You shaped who I am, professionally and otherwise. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines, loudly!”

He added: “And now, a new chapter. I'm thrilled to share that I'm joining Starbucks as SVP of Supply Chain. Here's what I keep coming back to. Not everyone gets to work for a company they genuinely love. I've now been lucky enough to do it twice. Sport and coffee, two things that were part of my life long before they were part of my job. I don't take that for granted for a second. To my new Starbucks partners: I can't wait to get started.”

2026 RTIH Innovation Awards

Supply chain technology will be a key focus area at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards.

The awards are now open for entries and celebrate global retail technology innovation in a fast moving omnichannel world.

Our winners will be revealed at the 2026 RTIH Innovation Awards Ceremony, taking place at The HAC in Central London on Wednesday, 4th November.

Check out our 2025 winners here.

Our 2025 hall of fame entrants were revealed during a sold out event which took place at The HAC on 16th October and consisted of a drinks reception, three course meal, and awards ceremony presided over by award winning comedian, actress and writer Tiff Stevenson.

In his welcome speech, Scott Thompson, Founder and Editor, RTIH, said: “This is the awards’ fifth year as a physical event. We started off with just 30 people at the South Place Hotel not far from here, then moved to London Bridge Hotel, then The Barbican, and last year RIBA’s HQ in the West End.”

“But I’m conscious of the fact that, to quote the legend that is Taylor Swift, You’re only as hot as your last hit, baby. So, this year we’ve moved to our biggest venue yet, and also pulled in our largest number of entries to date and broken attendance records.”

He added: “This year’s submissions have without doubt been our best yet. To quote one of the judges: The examples of innovative developments across both traditional and digital retail spaces were truly remarkable.”

Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to our sponsors, judging panel, the legend that is Tiff Stevenson, and all those who attended our 2025 gathering.
