Amazon tops UKCSI, offers customers tenner off orders

Following on from the Institute of Customer Service's announcement that Amazon.co.uk took the top spot in its UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI), the e-commerce giant is thanking its customers by offering £10 off selected £50-plus Prime orders today. This can be redeemed by entering the promo code BIGTHANKS at checkout.

Published twice each year, the UKCSI asks customers to rate their experiences of individual organisations from 13 sectors across a range of 30 metrics, from professionalism, quality and efficiency to problem solving and complaint handling. “We really appreciate the positive feedback from customers and we will keep working hard to meet the high standards our customers expect from us,” says Doug Gurr, UK Country Manager, Amazon. “We will continue to improve the service we offer and we are confident our investments in the UK will help us provide an even better shopping and entertainment experience for our customers in 2018.”

Jo Causon, CEO at the Institute of Customer Service, comments: “While high performing organisations act as an exemplar for others they cannot become complacent. The temptation might be to hold back in economically uncertain times, but for organisations to maintain momentum and benefit from long-term returns, they must continue to invest in customer service and place it at the heart of their business strategy. We know that where satisfaction is maintained, organisations will see a direct link to turnover, growth, profitability and productivity.”
