Steve Rowley out, John Clem in at MetaPack

John Clem is taking on the role of General Manager at e-commerce delivery technology venture, MetaPack, following the company’s acquisition by Stamps.com.

Clem has been on the senior management team at Stamps.com for 15 years. Before that, he was a management consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton and also worked as an engineer and manager in the petrochemical and utilities industries. He is moving from Stamps.com’s California HQ to be based at MetaPack’s offices in London, and is taking on the responsibilities of Steve Rowley, formerly Executive Chairman at MetaPack, who is leaving the company.

Ken McBride, Chairman and CEO, Stamps.com, says: “John has been a very important element in our growth, not least because of his deep understanding of e-commerce delivery. He has designed many of our new shipping features over the last five years, and they have been instrumental in our success in the US market. We now fully expect John to bring that expertise to his management of MetaPack, working together with Founder Patrick Wall and with the executive team to fulfil our ambitious plans for the future.”
